Best Silk Naturals Eyeshadows

Happy Friday! For my next installment of best eyeshadows, I’ve got the Best Silk Naturals Eyeshadows for you. Silk Naturals is one of my favorite indie companies. Almost all of their eyeshadows are vegan and gluten free. They are, of course, cruelty free. I’ve chosen my favorite eyeshadows out of their current eyeshadows. They currently have 293 eyeshadows with 254 of that number being vegan. You can search by vegan, finish, or color family on the website, making it easy to pinpoint things you’ll like.

Silk Naturals has created so many gorgeous colors. They have vegan clones of MAC, Urban Decay and bareMinerals eyeshadows, as well as a ton of their own colors. They also will take the occasional color request if you’re a member of their forums. In addition to eyeshadows, they make a bevy of other products including lipsticks, lipglosses, foundations, blushes, finishing powders, and more.

Price
$4.50 per eyeshadow

I’ve swatched all colors on top of Gosh primer.

Silk Naturals Friday, Sonic, Caliber, Meteor, Scout, Restless, Revolver, Covert, Phantom, Astral, Hint, Cutie Pie, Swatches

Friday
Friday is the classic Marilyn Monroe lid shade.  It’s light with a hint of warm grey, a little touch of feminine pink pearl, and gold.  It’s complex, and lovely enough for a great one-color wash.
This is a new release from the Fall collection and it’s a very complex shade. It’s super flattering if used on the lid or as a highlighter.

Caliber
UD Half-baked clone. A brassy, golden shimmer pearl.
I’m always a fan of gold shades! This one is a gold with a touch of bronze. Really lovely.

Revolver
UD Pistol clone. A deepish shimmery golden taupe with hints of golden glimmer.
This is a much warmer version of Pistol and it’s a complex shade. All you taupe lovers out there need this.

Covert
UD Busted clone. A matte black with hints of brown and copper shimmer.
This is a really awesome black with hints of copper shimmer, making a great liner or contour shade.

Bareback
Bareback is lightish creamy matte shadow that works well as a lid color, or even to every so slightly brighten up your tear duct.  It’s a clone of Urban Decay’s Naked from the Naked Palette.
This is a great lid shade or a shade to blend out the edge of shades. It’s also a nice matte highlight.

Restless
Restless a light pinkish tan color with a nearly suede finish.  It’s immensely flattering, and sort of the cooler toned version of our color Bailey.  Restless is a clone of Urban Decay’s Virgin.
To me this is more of a pale peachy tan, but it’s a great lid shade.

Scout
Scout is a deep shimmering copper with hints of gold. It’s a great crease or liner color, and is a clone of Urban Decay’s Smog.
I have no idea how I fell in love with this color but it’s pretty amazing. Try it layered over a black base sometime and you’ll be blown away by the complexity of the color. Or put a velvety black on your lid, blend the black into the crease, then layer this in the crease and blend it upwards. Really awesome look.

Meteor
Meteor is one of the 4 colors in the MAC Natural Flair palette clone- it’s a nice warm golden bronze color with a fair amount of shimmer- but more pearlescent than chunky.
Meteor is a very bronzey gold shade. I love it with blue-green eyes.

Sonic
Sonic is a very light, pearlescent golden tone with an intense golden slightly pinkish copper highlight. It’s a dead-on clone to MAC’s Vanilla Pigment. It looks great as a highlight color- and really- rather interesting as a light one-color wash.
This is a highlighting shade that I reach for over and over. It really brightens the eyes.

Paranormal
In the jar Paranormal almost looks like it’s alive- it’s a deep navy leaning towards purple, and it sort of looks like electric velvet.
This is an amazing, vivid blue.

Astral
Astral looks peach in the jar- but then…taadaa! It’s loaded with purple interference color. So much so that it doesn’t really look peach at all when you put it on your eyes. It’s really fun with Aura, or you could match it up with Opal for a little twist.
This is a really fun pinky-peach base with purple iridescence. It makes a great lid shade.

Blessings
Blessings was our 2011 Hanukkah color- meant to capture the glow of a candle in the darkness. The base is black, and it has glowing copper and gold highlights. While not quite a Prism color- it was the beginning of that idea.
This is a great complex shade that is fun on its own or on top of a black base.

Silk Naturals Poly, Kingfisher, Paranormal, Foxtrot, Blessings, Siobhan, Miranda, Kick, Scream, Nymph, Bareback, Shell, Reckless, Welcome Matte, Swatches
Poly
Poly is a clone of MAC’s Parrot color- a medium blue muted, nearly matte shade with the addition of blue and green highlights.
This is such an interesting color. The green highlights really show up well on the blue base, making this look like a teal green to me.

Kingfisher
Kingfisher has a navy base, with aqua green highlights, and aqua glimmers. It’s a nice liner color by itself- a great, incredibly interesting color.
This works really well with Poly.

Phantom
Phantom is a very light, almost sheer pearl pink with pearlescent golden highlights. Applied over Stick ‘Em primer it blooms to a soft golden peach glow.
I love this as a lid shade or a highlight.

Siobhan
Siobhan is a reddish deep plum shimmer shade.
This is a shade that I requested for Fall. It’s a beautiful plum wine shade.

Miranda
Miranda is a bold, vivid fuschia- with just a teeny tiny bit of shimmer that most people wouldn’t notice unless you’re in bright sunlight. Made entirely without dyes or carmine.
This is such a fun bright matte! Silk Naturals does mattes well.

Foxtrot
Foxtrot is a completely matte teal color. It’s fun as a lid color with something like Code, or Cryptic to make an edgy smokey eye.
Another beautiful bright matte.

Kick
Kick is a bright purple with lots and lots of purple and blue glimmers. It’s a fun lid wash with some liner and false lashes.
This is such a beautiful purple. It looks great on top of a black base, too.

Scream
Scream is an incredibly oomphed up version of Breathe. It’s a deep purple color with fine highlights of teal.
Love tihs! It’s an amazing duochrome.

Cutie Pie
Cutie Pie is a light tan Suede with pink interference pigment.
I love this as a lid shade with burgundy or red eyeshadows.

Nymph
Nymph is a really sophisticated, fun color. On the surface it’s a putty tone- kind of grey and neutral- but it has very fun complex red highlights. It’s a great spin on the one color neutral eye. It’s a MAC Vex clone.
This is another great lid shade.

Hint
Hint is a slightly purple pink color with lots of pretty interference pigments that “bloom” when you put them on. MAC Seedy Pearl clone.
I like this on the lid or as a highlighter. It works really well with deeper purples.

Shell
Shell is a completely matte nude. It’s a clone of UD Foxy.
This is another great lid shade or good for blending out colors in the crease.

Reckless
Reckless is an aged brownish copper tone with little hints of golden glimmer. Call this one a cover rather than a clone of Urban Decay’s Chopper. It’s true to the spirit, but we removed the big hunks of fallout prone gold glitter.
This is such a gorgeous, rich, aged copper.

Welcome Matte
Welcome Matte tones down colors…takes away some of the sparkle, lightens them ever so slightly, and adds just a touch of neutral.

Welcome Matte has to be one of the most useful products that I own. Lightly blend on a tiny amount of Welcome Matte on top of another color to slightly lighten the color if it’s too dark, or to take off some of the shimmer. It makes any shade more matte / satin, which can be really helpful if you have hooded eyes and need to mattify your crease color.

Silk Naturals has a Shop Fearless guarantee! They accept returns on all unloved eyeshadows or lippies. You get a free gift with purchase for any purchase over $10, and a free one of your choice for every order over $35. There are so many different Silk Naturals eyeshadows to choose from and almost all are vegan, so there’s sure to be a color for everyone. I really like that their mattes are easy to work with, whether they’re bright or neutrals. Silk Naturals has actually caused me to fall in love with several neutrals, as you can tell, from Scout, Bareback and Covert.
