Blake Brody: Finally, A Stylish Shoe from Yoga + Pilates to Street

One of the great dilemmas in modern life, besides the choice of life partner, college, city, and the whole low-fat non-fat skim decaf non-decaf debacle, is how to effortlessly make the transition from work or school to the gym.

Blake Brody has managed to do just that, with the release of her new line of Blake Brody Ballerina Flats ($98.00, Amazon.com).  Not only is the two-tone style mildly reminiscent of a classic Chanel flat, but these also are equipped with arch support, an antimicrobial liner, and traction pads so your feet don’t go flying off the Reformer.

Blake Brody Ballerina Flats are available in a multitude of colors and fabrics, ranging from Black Stingray with a Sueded Trim (shown above) to Camel Perforated Satin with a Gold Metallic trim, to Charcoal Sueded Texture with a Denim trim.  They are also constructed with cruelty-free materials.

Granted, Blake Brody Ballerina Flats are not designed for outdoor use, but if you are lucky enough to have a fitness center in or close to your building, they are truly a life-saver.  I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had to skip a workout because I’ve left my athletic shoes at home.  I plan to leave mine in my purse, so I can slip them on when I have a yoga session after classes.  Now, if only someone could design business-code accepted yoga pants, we’d be set…
