Depotting makeup isn’t just space efficient (though that’s a big plus!), it can also be a small way to be more eco-friendly with your makeup. How’s that? For example, MAC Cosmetics’s Back to M·A·C program incentivizes recycling by giving you a free lipstick for every six containers you send back. You can check and see if the makeup container you’re depotting from can be sent back to the company, as many companies have some recycling program in place, OR look for alternative types of recycling programs. Depotting can be a space-efficient way to store makeup, but it can also be a great way to recycle makeup containers instead of throwing them away.
