The Lashe Eyelash Conditioner

Share Article

The Lashe® Eyelash Conditioner is one of my all-time favorite products. Formulated with biotin, pro-vitamin B5, and peptides, this eyelash conditioner is formulated to fortify and nourish lashes. This product will also make lashes and false lashes alike appear longer and thicker, unlike many oil-based eyelash conditioners that make eyelashes fall out.

Eyelashes grow at half the rate of the rest of your hair, at 0.155 mm/day, as compared to scalp hair, which grows at 0.3-0.4 mm/day (Aesthetic Plastic Surgery). To boost the rate of growth of your eyelashes, you need to get the root of the problem — literally.

Why Eyelash Conditioners Work

When I was a young girl, my aunt bought me a clear mascara. I wasn’t allowed to wear makeup yet — just lip gloss! — but I used it religiously every night, and I was delighted to find that my lashes looked a little longer. I appeared a little more bright-eyed, but not so much so that anyone objected.

It turns out that using clear mascara can help your lashes grow.

Hair grows to a certain length, and then it stops. Your hair follicle receives signals from your DNA and your hair itself on whether to keep growing or stop altogether. This is determined by a mix of factors, including genetics, nutritional levels, environment, and the overall condition of your lashes.

Hair Growth Cycle

For instance, when you don’t have enough nutrients in your bloodstream, your follicle will not be signaled to grow the lash further. But eyelash conditioners like The Lashe® Eyelash Conditioner contain vitamins, peptides, and nutrients to help supplement eyelash growth.

When your eyelash hair is damaged, it may also signal that it no longer needs to grow. Instead, your damaged eyelashes may enter premature telogen, a phase in which hair simply falls out. If this is the case, using an eyelash conditioner nightly will help to protect and smooth out the hair. This prevents it from falling out.

Pro-Vitamin B5 Moisturizes Hair and Prevents Eyelash Breakage

You might remember hearing about panthenol from all of those Pantene commercials.

Panthenol, known as provitamin B5, is one of those hair product staples, because it reduces breakage (Drug and Cosmetic Industry). Panthenol penetrates the hair shaft and acts as a humectant moisturizer, pulling moisture from the environment into hair (Handbook of Cosmetic Science and Technology). That’s one of the reasons why it’s a great ingredients for treating damaged hair, with one study showing that it can help stop deterioration (Analytics in Cosmetic Research).

How Humectant Works

In an eyelash product, panthenol will pull in moisture from the environment, hydrating the lashes and protecting them from breakage. It also strengthens the hair, enabling it to last longer so it can grow longer!

Biotin Improves Eyelash Thickness, Elasticity, and Strength

Biotin or Vitamin B7 plays an integral part in overall hair and eyelash health.

Although it is rare, those who have a biotin deficiency may even experience hair loss. The benefits linked to biotin have been shown to improve the hair and scalp in multiple ways. Not only does biotin improve hair thickness, but it also has the capability of increasing its elasticity, making it stronger and less prone to damage. While some may choose to take biotin supplementation for hair health, topical treatments with biotin like the Lashe® Conditioner work exceptionally well.

How to Use

The conditioner is great for lash extension wearers and non-wearers alike, as it is not oil-based like many of the eyelash treatments out there. It can also be applied to the brows for fortification or as a brow gel replacement.

If your lashes grow crisscross, the Lashe® Conditioner can help retrain hair growth. It will hold the lashes and over time the growth pattern can be corrected.

Apply daily to lashes that have been cleansed with The Lashe® Cleansing Gel, The Lashe® Cleansing Liquid or The Lashe® Cleansing Pads.  Great to use after applying eye shadow as lashes may appear dull from residual powder.  To apply conditioner to your bottom lashes, hold wand vertically.

Bottom Line

The Lashe® Eyelash Conditioner is a fantastic product with biotin, pro-vitamin B5, and peptides to help stimulate eyelash growth. Stick with it for a few weeks on natural lashes, and you will definitely notice a difference!
