Packing for a Spring Business Trip in NYC- One Product I Couldn’t Go Without

Share Article

AminoGenesis Spotlight Skin Brightener & Corrector

I travel to NYC fairly often for work, mainly to meet with advertisers, sponsors, and consulting clients. I’ve become fairly good at packing — for me, it’s all about making sure I have the right outfits and accessories for business meetings during the day, working out in the morning, and going out in the evenings. (And having a lot of books, but that’s another story for another day…)

As the spring weather starts to pick up and the sun comes out, I start thinking more about treating, eliminating, and preventing sunspots, and boosting my sun protection. Lately, two products I have been packing for my face for Spring are AminoGenesis Spotlight Skin Brightener and AminoGenesis Wrinkle Arrest Anti-Aging Day Cream with Sunscreen SPF 30.

AminoGenesis Spotlight Skin Brightener for Sunspots

Aminogenesis Spotlight

My newest addition to my suitcase is AminoGenesis Spotlight Skin Brightener ($59.95). This serum is formulated with Gigawhite™, Melavoid™ and Apple-ECO™. AminoGenesis Spotlight Skin Brightener is for treating dark spots, age spots, and freckles. Over time, it is reported to improve the appearance of dull, lackluster, tired, and weathered-looking skin.

Gigawhiteâ„¢

Gigawhiteâ„¢ is a compound made of the following ingredients (Lotioncrafter):

Water, Glycerin, Alcohol, Malva Sylvestris (Mallow) Extract, Mentha Piperita (Peppermint) Leaf Extract, Primula Veris Extract, Alchemilla Vulgaris Extract, Veronica Officinalis Extract, Melissa Officinalis Leaf Extract, Achillea Millefolium Extract

Gigawhite™ has been shown to significantly brighten and even out skin tone with regular use over time (Australasian Journal of Dermatology, 2005). Specifically, Gigawhite™ has significantly improved the age spots in at least one study (International Journal of Molecular Science, 2001).

Melavoidâ„¢

In addition to Gigawhite™, AminoGenesis Spotlight Skin Brightener also contains  the natural lightening agent Melavoid™.

Melavoid™ is a natural ingredient designed for use all over the skin. With regular use over time, Melavoid™ has been shown to lighten skin tone evenly and uniformly, thus reducing the number of different types of hyperpigmentation spots (Center for Chem).

Melavoidâ„¢ is an award winning innovative ingredient from the SEPAWA Innovation Corporation Awards in 2014 (Source). It shows promise, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see it in many different products in the future.

Apple-ECOâ„¢

Polyphenols Apple Extract Tyrosinase

The third brightening ingredient in AminoGenesis Spotlight Skin Brightener is Apple-ECO™.

Apple extract has been shown to mildly inhibit tyrosinase, resulting in some improvement in age spots over time (Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry).

Bottom Line

With regular use of the extracts in AminoGenesis Spotlight Skin Brightener, you are likely to get results, especially if you have tried other lightening and brightening agents that have not worked in the past. This is because AminoGenesis Spotlight Skin Brightener contains compounds and extracts that work on the skin in different ways than your traditional vitamin C or hydroquinone.

Overall, if you have sunspots or have uneven skin tone, you need AminoGenesis Spotlight Skin Brightener!
